insta-undocks

In EVE some stations tend to immediately kick you outside of docking range after undocking. Our HQ is such a station. This can be extremely dangerous if there is an angry mob outside the station. To avoid the angry station mob, it is important that everyone knows how to use insta-undocks.

An insta-undock is a bookmark in-line with your undock path and the station. Because you undock at full speed, it means there’s no aligning or acceleration to reach warp. As a result you insta warp.

So to make use of insta-undocks:

1. Jump in a fast frigate (microwarpdrive is essential)
2. Undock and burn straight away from the station upon undocking.
3. Once you’re about 500km-3000km away from the station, open up your “people and places”, select the “places” tab, select “add bookmark”, type in a name for the bookmark (e.g. “ss undock 1 HQ”), hit ok.

Warp back to the station, dock and undock.. try warping to the bookmark you just made right when you undock. With a bit of luck you will warp instantly.

Insta-undocks will not always insta-warp you due to the differences in your undock angle. So in case of a big camp, undock in a shuttle or some other fast-aligning small ship.
