This page groups all important data together about life in the Tribe. All tribemembers are expected to know at least what is on this page. New members can use this page to get started. Most of what is discussed in this document used to be in corp mails or in various guides spread throughout our wiki and our forums.
This document is OOC (Out Of Character).
The Murientor Tribe is a roleplaying corporation. This means that all chat in local should be in character. Chat in the Tribe chat can be both in character and out of character.
All Murientor should be familiar with our backstory. You can read it here
In short:
- We hate Amarr, despise Ammatar and loathe Caldari (without a conscience).
- We love Gallente and Minmatar.
Being a Murientor means that you (and the Tribe as a whole) will not always choose what is “easy” or “practical” but what fits the roleplay. This means for instance that:
- We do not use Amarr/Ammatar/Caldari corporation owned stations as a base of operations.
- We do not use Amarr/Ammatar/Caldari agents.
- We do not use Amarr ships.
- We do not tolerate high Amarr/Ammatar standings.
- We use Minmatar and Gallente starbases no matter what.
- The Tribe uses Teamspeak 3 for voice communications. Eve voice or mumble are used as backup only.
- Server: 109.239.60.127
- Port: 9987
- Nickname: use the following format [MURIE] Character Name (e.g. [MURIE] Onnen Mentar)
- Default channel: Corporations Den/MURIE/Santir-Bar
- Phonetic nickname: Character Name (e.g. Onnen)
- The Murientor website including our forums.
- The ultimate tool to stay informed about Tribe life. Read them!
- Register now!. Use your in game character name.
- After registration talk to a Councillor to get full access rights.
- The Militia and TLF Intel ingame chat channels are used to relay intel to our allies.
- We engage
- war targets – they show up with a white star on a red or orange background in the overview or in local
- hostiles – they show up with a white minus on a red or orange background in the overview or in local
- those who attack us
- We are cautious of neutrals – they show up without any obvious standings
- Notes:
- No out of character talk in local
- No smack talk in local or on the forums
- No spying
- No use of alts (not part of the Tribe) against roleplay enemies in combat
- No logging off to save ships; there are no exceptions to this!
- Always post losses and kills on the killboard. The killboard is there to provide intel about hostile ships and setups, not as a scoreboard.
- If you have been attacked by someone without any standings, then contact a diplomat or make a post here.
- Our ROE are explained in greater depth here.
- Never fly ships you cannot afford to lose.
- Make use of insta-undocks (click for more info).
- Always keep an eye on local chat. Keep the local chat channel in a separate window so you can see hostiles jump in.
- Ask for intel from corp chat, Militia chat or TLF Intel.
- If you spot a war target always relay intel to (at least one of) the above channels.
- If you are moving expensive equipment or flying a vulnerable ship then ask a friendly Murientor to scout for you.
- Never engage without proper intel and clear orders.
- Never ask for backup without providing proper intel, always provide:
- How many enemies you are facing.
- What ships the enemies are flying.
- What ship you are flying.
- Where you need the backup.
- What your current situation is (dying, visual, engaged, enemies on scan)
- Do not expect people to help you when they are not in fleet with you.
The art of creating proper overview settings takes some time to master. We provide standard overview settings to all Tribemembers.
To setup your overview:
- Create a new folder called “overview” in your My Documents/EVE/ folder
- Download the standard overview setup (08/01/11) (right click and select “save as”) and copy it to the above folder.
- Import the mcw_standard overview by logging into eve, and selecting the “import overview settings” by clicking on the small triangle of the overview window.
Now you have 4 new overview tabs:
- Warpout (a tab to switch to when looking for something to warp out to)
- Minimal (Similar to the default settings but with very few brackets enabled.)
- Drones (Typically the minimal settings with drones included, this makes killing drones easy)
- Friendly (use if you have to see friendlies on overview only)
Overview setting tabs always have two components:
- the actual overview filter (determines what shows up on overview)
- the bracket filter (determines which brackets show up in space)
Feel free to try out all the different MCW settings provided and then set up your tabs with just the right combo of brackets and overview items for you.
The Tribe maintains hangars at all our offices. These hangars are divided into 7 different sections:
- Weaponry free access – all weaponry (high slot) modules and ammo are stocked here
- Equipment free access – all other modules are stocked here
- Ships limited access – Tribe insured ships and ships meant for other tribemembers are put here (see the note below)
- 1st MCW restricted access – tribe minerals, POS fuel and goodies for 1st MCW members
- Recruits restricted access – ships and equipment mainly intended for use by recruits
- Blueprints restricted access – used to store the Tribe’s BPO and BPC
- Tribe Safe restricted access – used to store important/expensive items
Notes:
- Do not drop any containers in the tribe hangars, you will not be able to take them out again.
- Modules and Ammo can be freely taken from the weaponry and equipment hangars. Take what you need and put back what you no longer need. Always relock the items afterwards!
- Ships in the ships hangar starting with “MTN” can be freely used. These ships have been Tribe insured, so do not repackage them! Ships not starting with “MTN” should not be taken.
- The blueprints hangar at our HQ has a wide collection of BPO. Everyone is free to make use of these BPO for personal use.
- If the hangars are low on a certain item, contact a member of our Material Control division.
- To keep everything secure, items in a container must be relocked after unlocking them! Members failing to do so will have their titles removed and may face expulsion.
All Murientor have a vital role to play within the Tribe. Exactly what that role is depends on your interests and abilities, but everyone helps.
The most important question to ask yourself is: Do I live where my fellow Tribemembers live? Do not spend your time running missions or ratting all by yourself in some distant system. If you want to spend your days alone, then by all means do so but you do not need the Tribe for that.
Join on operations and make sure you train up the skills required to fit one or more Vanilla Ships.
There are a number of skills which every tribemember should have:
- Propulsion jamming I (Important so you can fit webbers and scramblers)
- High Speed Maneuvering I (Important so you can fit microwarpdrives)
- Read through the Murientor Tribe Insider
- Read the forums.
- In the Tribe Community section of our website you can read some of the poems and backgrounds written by fellow Tribemembers or even better you can create your own!
